BBQ Horsham/Warnham - Saturday 16th July 2011

Burgers and sausages freshly barbequed and served in a bun with salad. Plenty of free parking. The venue does not have a liciense so please feel free to BYO wine and beer.

Free tea and coffee and iced water available all evening plus chocolates!

THIS EVENT WILL GO AHEAD EVEN IF IT RAINS ON SATURDAY - THERE HAS BEEN TALK ABOUT A BEACH THEME FOR THIS EVENT - THIS IS JUST A RUMOUR BUT PLEASE FEEL FREE TO COME DRESSED FOR THE BEACH - Andy has heard the rumour and he'll be dressed for the South of France!

Beach Boogie £5/6 entry!

This is something very different. We were invited to run a dance in this Marquee as part of the Adur Festival.

So Beach Boogie was born! It's a Hog Roast & BBQ with a bar and plenty of room for dancing on exhibition type floor covering that's fine for Modern Jive dancing - not quite as good as a sprung maple floor but better than most temporary dance floors we've tried!

The music will be a mix of Soul Motown & Disco from the 60s, 70s & 80s which is perfect for Modern Jive. It's also fabulous if you want to bring your non-jiving friends and family as everyone loves to dance to classics like "Build Me Up Buttercup". To find out more visit www.BeachBoogie.co.uk

Notes for Complete Beginners

As this is an adult class dancers must be at least 14 years old to take part in the lessons. There are no height or weight restrictions, but you must be mobile to make the most of the moves. Please wear casual, cool and comfortable clothing and avoid trainers, boots, sandals and shoes with a grip sole. Remember, don't worry if you feel you have 'two left feet' - these classes are ideal for beginners - and the teachers and dance crew will be patient. Above all, it is fun!

There's no need to bring a partner to our nights as all couples change partners on a regular basis. This makes the night much more social and avoids arguments between husbands and wives!

Spectators and Facilities: Lessons are not suitable for spectators - you'll just have to take the plunge and have a go yourselves!
