We absolutely love the Drill Hall. The Hall itself is light and airy and the floor is nothing less than superb - probably the best floor anywhere for modern jive - according to Andy, and he's danced in a LOT of places!
In recent years the hall has been improved with ceiling suspended sound baffles to combat the echo you get in large spaces and a new hardwood floor fitted over many months of construction. All that hard work and investment has created a venue that's perfect for Modern Jive.
We started our Thusday classes within a month of the fitting of the new floor. The Saturday dances at the Drill Hall are popular and it's always a happening night. And the classes are popular with local dancers with plenty of new people starting to dance with us. But it's a huge venue and we'd like to encourage more people to come on a Thursday night to create a real buzz! So we've created some special offers to reward our current Thursday dancers and encourage others to join us on Thursday nights.
Four Week SAVER Ticket - This ticket saves £7. The usual price for a class is £7 but you can get 4 classes for £21 rather than £28. This is twice as good as offers where you get one free ticket after 6 visits - and you don't need to remember to get anything stamped. This ticket can be used on ANY Thursday at the Drill Hall - buy your saver ticket at any of our nights.
At Rocsters we teach Smooth Modern Jive, an easy to learn social dance. Absolute beginners are welcome to any class and will be dancing by the end of their first lesson. You can join us at any time as there's no course to start, each lesson is suitable for complete beginners. And there's no need to bring a partner as partners move around.
