We're all looking to improve our dancing and have even more fun on the dance floor, whether it's building up our musicality, developing our styling or finding new ways to express what we hear in the music and explore our connection to our partner.

In this intensive workshop Sara will work with you at your own level of experience and using the skills you've already learned on your dance journey to help you become a dancer that people simply love to dance with. By exploring some of the subtleties of musicality through breaks, pauses and emphasis, and finding ways to express the music through our attention to style, we'll take another few huge steps on your dance journey.

We'll work together on getting perfect connection - both to the music and to your partner - and then find ways to explore that connection to different styles of music. We'll also seek to expand our dance vocabulary through new movement to expand how you can express what you hear in the music - focusing always on helping you give good dance.

By the end of the workshop, you'll have increased confidence to take to the blues room floor with style and passion, with new skills that you can take back to the dance floor wherever you are.

Who this workshop is for - If you're joining in with and enjoying intermediate Modern Jive lessons this is the workshop for you. If you've already taken some steps into the world of Modern Blues you will still get a LOT out of this workshop. And, if you did the last Sara White workshop at the Warren you will find a lot in this one that's different, not more advanced, just different - so there's plenty of new stuff for you to learn!

Balancing the Sexes - for now well just keep an eye on the balance of the sexes. If we notice a big imbalance we might create a waiting list for one sex or the other - but we've usually found these things balance out in the end - it's just that some men take longer to commit ...
